What do your standard rates include?

We guarantee the lowest car rental prices* in Perth for our range of modern and exceptionally maintained vehicles. With Ace Rent a Car you can expect to get more inclusions out of your car hire.

Our standard rates include:

  • Daily vehicle rate
  • Vehicle Registration Recovery fee (this covers vehicle registration and compulsory third party insurance costs)
  • Administration fee
  • 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST)

Your daily rate covers the cost of:

  • 100KM travel distance per day (additional KMs can be purchased at a rate of $10 per 500KMs per day)
  • Complimentary airport shuttle bus to and from our Redcliffe location (if selected)
  • 24 hour roadside assistance should your vehicle break down
  • Any additional drivers

You can also choose from various optional extras such as child safety seats, excess reduction, GPS and more.

How are rates charged?

Our rates are calculated on a 24-hour basis with a minimum 1 day rental period inclusive of 100KM.

Should you return your vehicle in less than 24 hours, you will still be charged the minimum 1 day rental rate.

Daily rates are subject to change. Rates for booked reservations will not change unless you need to amend your booking. Quotes are valid for 48 hours and the rate is not guaranteed until you have confirmed your booking.

Do I have to pay more for additional drivers?

No, any additional drivers are covered under your daily rate, however they must be included on your rental agreement to be covered for insurance purposes. This includes their details and licence number.

If any drivers are under the age of 26, there are restrictions to what kind of vehicle you can hire. A surcharge of $6 applies if you are between 21-26 years old.

Do any fees apply for having an international drivers licence?

A daily fee of $5 will apply if you have an international drivers licence, with the exception of drivers who hold a New Zealand or U.K. driver’s licence.

How can I reduce my liability for accidents?

Standard third party insurance is included in your car hire, but we also offer excess reduction at a small cost for your peace of mind. In the event of an accident it reduces your financial liability.

Can I return the vehicle at another location?

Yes, however a relocation fee will be applied should you wish to drop off your car at a location other than your original collection point. This is to cover the cost of delivering the vehicle back to its allocated location, where it will be due for another collection.

Do I have to pay for fuel?

It is expected that you return the vehicle at the same fuel level from when you first collected it.

Failure to refuel the vehicle at the same fuel level will result in a $50.00 administration fee plus the cost to refuel the car.

Will I be charged based on the kilometres driven?

As part of your daily rate, every car rental includes 100KM travel distance per day.

Beyond 100KMs you will be charged $0.28 per KM, or you have the choice to purchase “Extra KMs or Unlimited KMs” from the options menu when making a booking.

Will I be charged for cancelling my booking?

You won’t be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel your reservation at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick up date.

If you need to cancel a booking for December, you must give us at least 7 day’s notice, otherwise booking cancellation fees, equivalent to 1 day hire charges will apply.

Do any fees apply for returning the vehicle late?

Unless extension arrangements have been made, you are required to return the vehicle at the agreed day/ time as stated on your rental agreement or risk a late fee.

If you don’t need to extend your car rental and you are late, you’ll be charged an additional $15 per hour. Late returns longer than 2 hours will be subject to the full daily rental rate.

Why have I been charged a cleaning fee?

We provide clean and well-maintained vehicles and expect all cars to be returned in the same condition as per when you first collected it.

If the rented vehicle is returned in a dirty condition, with visible dog or cat hair, or evidence of cigarette odours, a $50.00 cleaning fee will apply for small cars or $100.00 for SUVs, Utes and vans.
